Where do Real Madrid do from Here ?

 According to a recent report from the Daily Mirror, Madrid made a formal bid to Tottenham for Bale that included a transfer fee and a number of players including Argentine midfielder Angel Di Maria. 

Still Tottenham reportedly turned down the Bernabeu’s latest overtures. Over the past few months, reports suggest Madrid have considered a transfer fee as high as £85 million for Bale.

Di Maria alone is worth roughly £30 million and he is under contract until 2018. At 25 years of age he could be a worthy substitute for Bale. Di Maria has scored 35 goals in all competitions since joining Madrid from Benefica in 2010.

However Madrid has been so transfixed on Bale, they might have allowed Ronaldo to slip off to his old club Manchester United. According to the Daily Star,United will reportedly meet with Ronaldo next week at Old Trafford and discuss his return to the club that he helped win three Premier League and one Champions League title.

New United boss David Moyes and club officials are willing to spend over £60 million for Ronaldo, and even offer him a £250,000-a week salary and endorsement deals with Chevrolet and Nike.

That same report from the Star states United could also get in the way of Madrid’s pursuit of Bale if they can’t land Ronaldo. United are willing to offer Tottenham £80 million for Bale, who reportedly may not want to extend his stay at White Hart Lane.

Madrid officials may also be in hot water with another Premier League club.Two days ago Spanish newspaper Marca published a report that claimed Madrid had come to terms with Liverpool striker Luis Suarez without so much as a transfer request, according to the Daily Telegraph. The Reds are reportedly furious, and even if the report of Suarez’s switch is true, they expect at least £40 million for him.

Suarez recently represented his native Uruguay against Brazil in the Confederations Cup earlier this week. Uruguay fell 2-1 to Brazil, but during the tournament Suarez netted three goals, including two scores in Uruguay’s 8-0 rout of Tahiti.

The 26-year-old has spent the last two years with Liverpool, making 77 appearances and totaling 38 goals.

Transfer Windows

  According to coughtoffside.com Higuain the Argentine will be leaving the Bernabeu this summer though and announced his intentions during a press conference after Madrid’s last game of the La Liga season. Arsenal are thought to be leading the race to sign the prolific striker and have submitted a £22 million bid to sign the Argentine international. A deal appears to be close with Arsenal hoping that they can secure personal terms. Juventus are also thought to be interested in signing Higuain and had a £18 million bid rejected by Real Madrid. Arsenal will hope that an improved bid isn’t on it’s way so that the Argentine is free to join them. If Higuain does sign for Arsenal as is expected, the Argentine would bring goals with him to the Emirates. Arsenal have lacked a proven goal scorer ever since Robin Van Persie left for Manchester United last season and Wenger will see Higuain as the answer to that problem. At 25, Higuain has plenty of time to get even better and this signing will show the rest of the Premier League that Arsenal mean business next season.

We been hearing a lot now about the protest in Brazil, Isn't it time for  Fifa to act? I personally think so. Football is said to be a sport that promote peace and stability, for the past weeks now that not the case in Brazil. Protesters have returned back to the streets demanding the increase in income better education, transport and health services, one day after President Dilma Rousseff proposed a wide range of actions to reform the country's political system. Fifa response has been to increase security for the confederation cup that is currently in progress, is this the right way to address this scenario, after all they are the governing body of football. I want to hear your views on the situation.
